Hey everyone! It has been a great season of snowboarding and skiing so far, but it is not over! There is still plenty of snow up north and we are going to Nubs Nob this Weekend. We will be going this Saturday March 28th and leaving at 6:00am. The cost will be $21 total. We really have to have 25 people to be able to go so please sign-up or let Dave know by Thursday.

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009Hello Everyone. Just an update about the next couple of weeks. This next Sunday (March 8th) we will be going at our usual time 9:00am. But next weekend is Caberfae Peaks Spring Carnival so we will be actually going on Saturday instead of Sunday that weekend. We will be leaving at 8:00am and should be having food and other goodies. There are lots of fun events that happen during the Spring Carnival so check it out and plan on coming!
In other news we just want to thank everyone for making this year’s Overnight Trip a success. Temps were cold but everyone had a good time and things ran very smoothly! Check out the picture gallery for some pics of the overnight. Video will be coming soon.

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009Hey all I put video up from January 25th, on the video page. In the process of organizing and planning how I’m going to put all the video into one sweet video at some point, for now, it’s up pretty much uncut with some music.
Also don’t forget Overnight deposit($40) is due to Dave by this Friday(the 30th). Please communicate with him about the overnight as knowing how many people are going will greatly help us in planning.

I guess there is also some confusion on how to leave a comment on pictures. Once you log onto the picture gallery and then you are viewing the picture that you want to comment on. If you look to the upper part of the panel on the left of the picture, there should be a button called “Add Comment.” Just click that and follow things from there, it’s pretty easy.

Lots of Pictures at Caberfae – Jan 18th

Just want to let you know that the pictures are up from yesterday at Caberfae here. Took some time to get them all uploaded as we had so many pictures between Jeremy and Dave. All of their pictures are up plus the videos that Dave took on his digital camera should be in the picture gallery, you should be able to click on them to download them or play them. Hopefully I will have the video that I took up in our video section by the end of the week. Which brings me to my next point, please go to our forum and find the topic about music for video and let me know songs that you guys think would be good to put our videos to.
Anyway it was a great day at Caberfae and looks like there are many more on the way. Thanks to everyone that went especially those that signed up in advance. Don’t forget if you Sign-up for a Sunday trip by midnight on the Friday before your are entered into a drawing to win a free lift ticket!

New Sign-Up for Sunday!
Monday, January 12th, 2009Hey everyone, just a quick update on some webpage stuff. Since we have been having a great turn out this year it is really important that we are letting Dave know that we are planning on going each Sunday. So to help with that I created a sign-up form on our webpage. All you need to do is go to the sign-up section and fill in your name, the date of the Sunday trip you are going on and if you are renting skis, a snowboard or not renting. This will then send an email that Dave can get so we can plan if we need to contact Caberfae if rental numbers are high or if we need to arrange extra transportation if we have alot of people(which is awesome!).
To help kick start the sign-up we will be holding a contest with a free lift ticket as the prize. We will draw one person from all of the people that sign-up for a Sunday trip by Friday and they will get a free lift ticket for that Sunday!
Also don’t forget to there is information for the overnight right here. The total cost is $75 and $40 is due to Dave by January 30. The rest is due at the Parent meeting on February 12 at 7:00PM in the Cafeteria. Everyone should try to get SnowClub T-Shirts and Sweatshirts before the overnight too. $10 for a T-Shirt and $25 for a really nice hooded sweatshirt. Just contact Dave.

Overnight Info
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009Hey everyone, hope you all had a good Holidays. It is now time to start thinking about the overnight trip to Crystal Mountain. The dates for the trip are March 1st and 2nd. The total cost of the trip is $75 and $40 will be due to Dave on Friday January 30th. The rest will be due when we have the parent meeting on Thursday, February 12th. For more information check out the Overnight 2009 flyer. Also don’t forget that we have new sweatshirts($25) and T-Shirts($10), if you want to purchase some just get ahold of Dave.
Epic Day at Caberfae!
Monday, December 22nd, 2008Well all 30 of the Shepherd SnowClub members that attended the trip on Sunday December 21st were in for a treat. When we arrived Caberfae has just finished cleaning up from the 12 inches of snow that had fallen on Friday so the slopes were covered in powder. On top of that, over the course of the day the resort received an addition 12 inches of snow, creating complete powder runs almost the entire day. SnowClub members were able to experience many things that we don’t normally; powder riding, powder up to our knees riding, and a few even got runs in on double black diamond I-75! Dave or other senior members could not remember a better day at Caberfae or in Michigan for that matter. The way this winter is going we might see a few more like that!

December 14th Trip
Monday, December 15th, 2008Well while it was a crappy rainy day yesterday it didn’t stop members of the Shepherd SnowClub from having a good time at Caberfae. Warm temperatures and some light rain left most of us wet but satisfied with the slushy snow/powder mix that was very forgiving when impacted. The pictures for yesterdays trip can be located here and there is a short video that used a couple clips from Dave’s digital camera. Turn out has been great so far, lets keep it up. Please try to let Dave know if you will be going the next couple weeks(either by phone or email right now, possible sign-up coming soon hopefully) as it is important to have a good idea ahead of the time during these holiday weeks. We are planning on going every Sunday but will need enough people to justify the trip.

Monday, December 8th, 2008Hey Guys!! I have ordered new shepherd snowclub Hoodies and Tshirts. They are navy blue with the new SnowClub logo. I think they will look pretty good. I hope everyone likes them, I should have pics of them up by the end of the week. They should be ready by Sun. and will make great Xmas gifts. When I get the pics up give me some feedback.
